Chance The Rapper has been out for a better part of the decade now although he hasn’t been releasing a ton of music. He’s known for being quite positive in his raps and his Coloring Book mixtape is living proof of that.
But while many people discovered Chance The Rapper through Coloring Book, the Chicago MC began his career with the 2012 mixtape called 10 Day. One year later he dropped another mixtape called Acid Rap which immediately became a classic amongst hip-hop heads looking for something new and interesting to listen to.For years, boths the mixtapes weren’t available on streaming services which was frustrating for fans who just wanted to get their daily dose of Chance.
But now, in anticipation for his debut album, Chance has decided to bring both 10 Day and Acid Rap back into the fold. Since Coloring Book, the rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and activist has moved at his own pace: hopping on other people’s tracks from time to time, releasing the occasional multi-song SoundCloud drop, investing in civic and family life. He’s talked about releasing full-length projects with Kanye West and Childish Gambino, but we haven’t heard any of that music.
