Jaden Smith has dropped off his latest project, ERYS. While the rapper’s sophomore effort is a complete 180 from 2017’s SYREJaden says his ERYS album offers something completely different than its predecessor.

SYRE is the nice one, kind of the more sensitive one. And ERYS is just kind of like, doesn’t really care at all.”

He says in a recent Beats 1 Radio interview.

The album boasts fast-paced tempos and heavy dependence on gritty bass foundations.  Tracks like opener “P,” “Fire Dept,” “Summertime In Paris” with sister Willow Smith and the album-titled closer all utilize elements from the opposite side of the genre spectrum, like “P” acting as a piano-centered introduction while upbeat punk riffs create “Fire Dept.” Alongside the collaborative track with the younger Smith sibling are guest verses from A$AP Rocky for “Chateau,” Tyler, the Creator for “NOIZE,” Trinidad James for “Mission” and mentor Kid Cudi for “On My Own.” The album’s deluxe edition also arrives with three additional tracks, including a Flacko-assisted remix of 2018’s “GHOST.”
