Kid Cudi is creating a new Netflix series that will be based on his upcoming album, Entergalatic.
On Monday (July 22), The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Cudi has partnered up with Kenya Barris, the mind behind ABC’s Black-ish, for a new animated series for adults that will debut on Netflix. The show, which follows a young man on his journey to discover love, will feature fresh music from Cudder that will also appear on his brand-new LP, which will drop via Republic Records.
Along with having the show based on his new LP, Cudi will also write, star and executive-produce the series. Ian Edelman, who worked on Netflix’s The After Party starring Kyle, will also write for and executive-produce the show. On Monday, Cudi commented on the project on Twitter.
“Entergalactic will be something you’ve never experienced. I promise it’ll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!”
