We’re talking about Kanye West‘s new album, Yandhi. The album that we should have already heard months and months ago, but it got two major delays. Now? a release date is nowhere in sight. Now, instead of hating Kanye for that, let’s group all the informations we know about it. Every once in a while a new tweet, or interview brings back hope for the forthcoming drop. So to make things easier, we’ve pulled up everything we know about YANDHI (leaks included), so you can be fully ready when it actually happens.
The project’s name is a portmanteau of “Ye” and “Gandhi,” (the same as YEEZUS was of “Ye” and “Jesus”). It was originally predicted to arrive a couple of months after his collaborative album with Kid Cudi Kids See Ghosts, and the eponymous ye.
News of YANDHI began to flutter into the atmosphere last year, when the Chicago artist dropped a series of enigmatic tweets that hinted towards another album release. Now those tweets have been backed with album artwork, and release dates (which have sadly come and gone), potential track samples, and massive billboard takeovers.
For all those details and more, keep scrolling for a rundown of everything we know so far about Kanye West’s YANDHI.
First of all, the first release date of the album was on 29th September 2018. Yandhi was supposed to come out in combo with Lil Wayne‘s album, Tha Carter V.
we’re releasing Yandhi Saturday night— ye (@kanyewest) September 27, 2018
We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely
The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time
Unfortunately for ’Ye fans, the album did not drop as promised on September 29. On Monday, October 1, West’s wife Kim Kardashian tweeted that YANDHI will arrive on Black Friday – November 23, 2018 – adding “TRUST ME it is worth the wait.”
Nov 23 Black Friday YANDHI TRUST ME it is worth the wait 😱😘💦💰👑🔥🎥💋👅👏🏼💕😍🔌🤩— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) October 1, 2018
Hours after Kim Kardashian’s tweet, an interview between ‘Ye and TMZ‘s Harvey Levin surfaced, where he outlined plans to head to the African continent to finish the album. “I felt this energy when I was in Chicago,” Kanye noted, “I felt the roots. But we have to go what is known as Africa.”
Everything seemed to be all right, but nothing! We still don’t have this album.
The album artwork
If the 3-D holographic video West shared to Instagram in September is anything to go by, then YANDHI‘s album artwork will feature a MiniDisc with purple tape. The design, fans will recognize, its not at all dissimilar to that of his 2013 YEEZUS album, which depicted a CD with red tape.
Over time, several tracklists have been leaked, each different from the other, right now, this is a list of possible tracks within the disc.
The Storm (feat. XXXTENTACION & Ty Dolla Sign)
New Body (feat. Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla Sign)
Bye Bye Baby
City in the Sky/Garden
We Got Love (feat. Teyana Taylor)
Everything We Need [Sunday Service version of “The Storm”]
Water (feat. Ant Clemons)
Ego Death (feat. Ty Dolla Sign)

Law of Attraction
Spread Your Wings
As fans wait for Kanye West to drop his official first single off his upcoming album, YANDHI, a number of songs that are suspected to be from the forthcoming LP are being leaked.
A few weeks ago Kanye’s Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj collaboration, “New Body,” leaked, which was followed by a collaboration between Kanye, Ty, and the late XXXTENTACION titled “The Storm,” as well as a track called “Alien / Space X.” The leaks surfaced on an online forum dedicated to music leaks, and it looks like users are crowdfunding their purchase.
Most recently, a collection of songs, with a total run time of just under 30 minutes have popped up online, and some fans believe its the entire album. Some of the songs that are on the leaked project are “Chakras,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “We Got Love” featuring Teyana Taylor, “Garden” and “Last Name.” All of the records are unfinished and are most likely reference tracks done by Kanye during his recording sessions.
We can’t link this collection to you, but you are free to go looking for it around the web. But what we can do, is report this compilation from YouTube.
